CHN Energy was founded through a merger and restructuring of the former China Guodian Corporation and Shenhua Group.
Business scope: State Council-authorized management of State-owned assets; investment and management in the fields of coal and other resources, coal-to-liquids, coal chemicals, electric power, thermal power, ports, transport, finance, domestic and foreign trade and logistics, real estate, high technology and information consulting; planning, organization, coordination and management of the operations of the enterprises affiliated to Shenhua Group in the aforesaid fields; and sales of chemical materials and products (excluding hazardous chemicals), textiles, building materials, machinery, electronics and office facilities.
