Zhejiang International Maritime College, a vocational school in Zhoushan, was listed among the first prize winners for its original chorus at the 2018 Zhejiang College Art Festival, which was recently staged in Ningbo.

The chorus, New Look of The Fishing Village, was performed by 13 students from various departments of the school, such as shipping, tourism and international education.

Through the song, they showed the distinctive fishing culture of the city and its revitalized look after years of urban and rural construction.

The school also won a "Best organization" award, which was the third time that it has secured the award.

The annual Zhejiang College Art Festival is currently the largest and most influential college art event in the province, featuring songs, instrumental music, dances and drama performances.

Nearly 4,000 teachers and students from 95 universities and colleges in the province participated in this year's festival, bringing 461 music shows. 60 first prize awards were given out for chorus, among other awards.
