Hangzhou, a national hub for the digital economy in East China's Zhejiang province, has become the most popular city in China for internet talents, according to a report released by Liepin, an online job search company, on Nov 10.
The net inflow rate of internet talents of Hangzhou was 14.98 percent from January 2017 to September 2018, followed by Changsha and Wuhan at 10.65 and 9.73 percent respectively.
The report also indicated that Shanghai, Beijing, Shenzhen and Nanjing are the major source cities of the talents inflow.
Clustered with China's internet giants such as Alibaba and NetEase, the Yangtze River Delta metropolis is blessed with an advantageous location, abundant development opportunities in the internet sector and desirable living environment, said respondents of a survey among 1,000 internet job-seekers in Hangzhou.
Hangzhou has proved to be a magnet for internet talents from Shanghai, Beijing and Shenzhen, said an official from Liepin.
Undoubtedly, salary also plays a key part in the talent flow market. Though Shanghai and Beijing ranks top in the average salary increase at around 50 percent, Hangzhou still enjoys a competitive edge in the combination of development opportunities and salary increase at 40.2 percent.
