Progress update given on Yangzhou film world

Constructors of a film world in Yangzhou's Jiangdu district have given an update on their progress.

With investment from Beijing Enlight Media Co Ltd, the largest private entertainment firm in China, the film world is located in the aviation new city in Jiangdu district, covering an area of 4,150 mu (276.7 hectares).

Covering various fields such as filming, tourism, economy and education, the project includes areas for the shooting and production of films and television series and a film-themed amusement park.

The total investment of the project reaches over 10 billion yuan ($1.4 billion), being the largest cultural and tourism project that Yangzhou has introduced in terms of its investment.

The project is expected to be put into operation in 2021 with a designed capacity of 8 million visitors a year and an annual output of 100 films and television series.
