Zhanjiang enterprises won contracts worth nearly 3 million yuan ($432,844) at the 11th Cross-Strait (Xiamen) Cultural Industries Fair, which concluded in Xiamen, a port city in East China's Fujian province, on Nov 5.

Founded in 2008, the annual Xiamen cultural fair is one of the largest cross-Strait fairs and has played an increasingly important role in propelling cultural trade and exchanges between the two parties over its ten years of development.

This year's fair covers an exhibition area of 73,000 square meters and has provided more than 3,410 booths to exhibitors from China and other countries and regions. It was divided into five sections to showcase achievements and trends in culture, art, tourism, creative design, digital content, film, and television.

Covering 105 square meters, the Zhanjiang Pavilion made its debut at the 2018 fair. Zhanjiang Tourism Investment Group Co Ltd, Ding Yun Culture Communication Co, and Zhanjiang Shishan Cultural Technology Co Ltd, among other local enterprises, displayed a number of unique cultural and creative products, such as shell paintings, pencil sketches, murals, and educational courses, and received a lot of attention from buyers.
