Coal purchase contract signed during CIIE

Pingtan signed a purchase agreement of coking coal for 2019 with Yan Coal Australia Limited at the High-end Equipment and Medical and Pharmaceutical Importation fair of Fujian province on Nov 6 during the first China International Import Expo (CIIE).

A total of 39 projects were signed during the fair between Fujian delegation and foreign companies, covering various areas including agricultural products, medical equipment and mineral resources.

Yan Coal Australia Limited is the second largest steam coal manufacturer in Australia and ranks fourth in producing metallurgical coal.

The purchase agreement is expected to lay a solid foundation for the continuous increase in Pingtan's import value in 2019, said a person in charge of Pingtan Comprehensive Pilot Zone bureau of economic development
