Pingtan warehouses gear up for online shopping spree

A modern warehouse in the cross-border e-commerce logistic park in Jinjing Bay, Pingtan is set to open ahead of the upcoming online shopping spree which will take place across China on Nov 11, on Singles Day.

The logistic park in Jinjing Bay, with its total investment reaching over 500 million yuan ($71.8 million), has an overall floorage of 104,910 square meters.

The park was designed as a service platform integrating the whole industry chain including warehouses, business operation and supporting services.

With the emergence and development of electronic commerce in Pingtan, higher demands have been put upon local warehouses in recent years. Made of reinforced concrete structures, the new warehouse will have an overall floorage of about 30,000 sq m.

Cross-border e-commerce is a key industry in Pingtan and new warehouses of 650,000 sq m will be put into operation in 2020.
