Scientific innovation contest held in Ordos

The 18th Ordos Adolescents Science and Technology Innovation Contest was recently held in Ordos, Inner Mongolia autonomous region.
Hosted by Ordos Association of Science and Technology and the city’s education authority, the contest was aimed at arousing young people’s interest in science and technology, and encouraging them to innovate.
The contestants were students and their instructors from nearly 60 middle and primary schools.
Since the competition was unveiled, 280 projects have been submitted to the organizers, covering technology, engineering design, and the invention of agricultural tools.
The annual contest began in 2001.
