Shanxi seeks industrial partners in Oman

Updated: Oct.26, 2018 Print

An economic and trade cooperation promotion between North China's Shanxi province and the Sultanate of Oman was held in its capital Muscat on Oct 25.

Government departments of the Sultanate of Oman and representatives of local commercial and industrial circles took part in the promotion, seeking opportunities for collaborating with Shanxi and promoting their preferential investment policies and business environment.

The Sultanate of Oman has been developing large-scale infrastructure construction, tourism and mining industries and expanding plantations, which requires a large number of personnel and technology, and Shanxi has competitive know-how and established industries in infrastructure construction, equipment manufacturing and coal mining.

The two sides are complementary in these areas and there are good prospects for further investment and partnerships between each other, according to Chen Hecai, director of Shanxi Provincial Committee of China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT).

The Oman office of CCPIT Shanxi Provincial Committee was founded at the event to facilitate trade and economic collaboration between two sides.
