Founded in 1994, Jingdezhen Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone is one of the first batch of provincial-level development zones in Jiangxi province. In 2010, it was upgraded to a State-level hi-tech zone by the State Council.
With a planning area of 30.85 square meters, the zone is home to 64 enterprises with an annual industrial output value above 20 million yuan ($2.90 million) and has more than 17,000 employees. It has now formed an industrial layout featuring aviation, appliances and electronic information due to the area's industrial transformation and upgrading.
From January to July of 2018, the zone's total fiscal revenue reached 934.73 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 33.2 percent. The revenue in the public budget was 392.20 million yuan, and the tax revenue totaled 692.71 million yuan, increased by 2.3 percent over the previous year and accounting for 74.11 percent of the city's total.
