Multifunction road lamps light main street in Yangzhou

A total of over 300 multifunction road lamps were installed on Wenchang Road, one of the main streets in Yangzhou on Oct 10.

Each road lamp was equipped with LED bulbs, public security monitoring devices and road signs, meaning poles which were cluttering the street and used for different purposes will also be removed.

"The installation of multifunction road lamps will not only save more resources but also reduce the cluttering of the street that the many poles brought," said a spokesman from the Yangzhou urban lighting management office.

The lamp uses aluminum alloy as the main material and applies a concise design. They are also brighter than the old lamps, ensuring greater safety for drivers and pedestrians.

"The lights on Wenchang Road used to be dim, making the high beam lights of cars from the opposite direction more dazzling. But now with the new lamps, I don't need to worry about that anymore," said a passerby driver surnamed Zhao.
