Framing for a new public health center in Hanjiang district, Yangzhou has been completed, almost a year after it commenced.
The construction of the center, which started in December 2017, will finish before the Spring Festival and it will be put into operation in the first half of 2019.
Covering an area of 16,567 square meters, the public health center has a 10-floor health center, an eight-floor center for disease control and prevention and an underground parking lot.
The new center is designed to meet the standards of second-class hospitals and have a bed capacity of 1,200.
After being put into full operation, the center is expected to receive 200 patients every day with its annual patient number reaching over 100,000, making up for the current shortage of professional hospitals in Hanjiang.
