Tourists visiting Shenyang Palace Museum set new record

Shenyang Palace Museum welcomed more tourists than ever with the coming of this year's Golden Week, reaching the largest daily visitation of 32,000 person-times between Oct 2 and Oct 4. The total number of tourists from China and abroad also hit a record high during the holiday.

To cope with the numbers Shenyang Palace Museum issued emergency measures, including gathering volunteers to serve tourists and upgrading security measures. In order to ease the flow of visitors, it also opened an additional entrance and one more exit.
