A delegation of consul generals from 30 overseas countries based in Guangzhou paid a visit to Nansha district on Sept 26 to learn about Nansha's business environment, industrial policies and opportunities.

Organized by Guangzhou's foreign affairs office, the itinerary included Mingzhuwan Development and Exhibition Center, Guangzhou's hi-tech firm Cloud Walk and the Phase II Wharf project in Nansha Port Area.

During the visit, a special session was held in which Cai Chaolin, Party chief of Nansha, answered questions concerning investment in the district. Cai noted that Nansha is an important part of the China (Guangdong) Pilot Free Trade Zone and the district welcomes all investments that will have a positive impact.

Nansha is actively building a "go global" platform for domestic enterprises. It is cooperating with the National Development and Reform Commission to build the China Southern International Cooperation Center and with the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade to create the Guangdong Free Trade Zone Service Center, which will provide better services for enterprises.

Cai said Nansha will make full use of its policy advantages to focus on building a better business atmosphere and living environment, seeking innovation on talent policies and providing more convenience for foreign investors.

Jose Vicente da Silva Lessa, consul general of Brazil in Guangzhou, said the visit offered all consul generals in Guangzhou a chance to learn more about the latest developments in Nansha. Nadav Cohen, consul general of Israel in Guangzhou, said he hopes Israel and Nansha will expand their cooperation in high technologies, infrastructure construction, shipping, port management and logistics in the future.
