China Speech Valley

The China Speech Valley project is managed by Anhui IT Industry Investment & Holdings Co (hereinafter referred to as Anhui IT Investment). Through investment, promotion, incubation and other ways, the project is aimed at encouraging more artificial intelligence (AI) industry projects to focus on China Speech Valley’s development into a Chinese AI industry highland. 

China Speech Valley is China’s only national-level industrial base in the field of AI. Owing to an industrial promotion mechanism jointly established by China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology and the Anhui provincial government, China Speech Valley has extended from intelligent speech technology to other artificial intelligence fields. It is expected to seize the opportunity of explosive growth of artificial intelligence technology and its application to the new layout of the AI ecosystem.

Core area

The core area of China Speech Valley is located at No 666, Wangjiang West Road (northwest of the junction of Wangjiang West Road and Yonghe Road) in the Hefei National High-Tech Industry Development Zone (Hefei high-tech zone). Spanning an area of 138,667 square meters, it was put into operation in early 2011 and most of its parts have been completed. The major enterprise of China Speech Valley is iFLYTEK Co. The valley engages in core technology of speech research and development and tries to improve and construct the industrial chain, eventually to form an industrial cluster.

Incubation Area 

The incubation area is located in the southwest of the intersection of Xiyou Road and Shilian South Road in the Hefei high-tech zone. It is planned to cover an area of 116,666 square meters. Its buildings will be over 200,000 cu m. The Incubation area is mainly used for incubation of enterprises and projects, and cultivation of small and medium-sized enterprises and emerging industries. There are Research & Development buildings, product experience centers and staff dormitories. The enterprises in the area can enjoy an ecological, harmonious and humanized office environment. 

The first phase of the incubation office opened in March 2016, and the second phase of 150,000-sq m office is expected to be put into use by the end of 2018. 

Transportation: bus No 665 and No 656 run to the park, and the planned subway line 4 will pass through the incubation zone. 

Surrounding organizations: There are Hefei high-tech zone administrative committees, residential areas, hospitals, primary and secondary schools, shopping malls and other supporting facilities.

About the industrial park

Location: The industrial park is located to the west of Fangxing Avenue, south of Baiyan Bay Road, north of Mingzhu Avenue and east of Jimingshan Road in the Hefei hign-tech zone, with a planned land area of 800,000 sq m. It mainly focuses on industrial development in key areas. 

The provincial government has approved the land plan and will provide major support to the enterprises in the park according to their needs.
