The first Farmers' Harvest Festival was staged in Jiangwang Urban Agricultural Sightseeing Park in Yangzhou, Jiangsu province, on Sept 23.

The festival aims to promote agricultural upgrading, stimulate rural development and raise farmers' livelihoods through the staging of the festival.

The venue of the inaugural festival, Jiangwang Urban Agricultural Sightseeing Park, is a rural enclave that combines local farming culture and tourism to stimulate new possibilities for local development.

Performances were staged in celebration of the festival, with the performers being mainly local farmers.

Integrating abundant resources of agricultural parks in Yangzhou, the performances showcased Yangzhou folk arts, along with the latest achievements in agriculture such as new techniques and products.
