Annual fair to stage cultural products

The annual China (Wuxi) International Culture and Art Industry Fair will be held at the Taihu International Expo Center in Wuxi, Jiangsu province from Nov 11 to 15, according to a news conference held on Sept 25.

Covering an area of 47,000 square meters, this year's fair will be themed on "promote cultural identification, gain new momentum". The exhibition area will be divided into two parts with 12 themed areas, featuring arts and crafts, and cultural innovation products.

A total of 896 exhibitors from 17 countries have been confirmed to showcase their cultural products, including works from students of Jiangnan University, metro themed cultural items, "Yohood" pop art works and individual brands from Taiwan province.

One of the fair's highlights will be works themed on the "40th anniversary of China's opening". One hundred and eighty-seven pieces on historical events, people's livlihoods and beautiful scenery by famous artists and art lovers have been selected for exhibition.

Many sideline activities will also be taking place at the fair, including the signing ceremony of about 20 major cultural industry projects during the opening ceremony, which will be a first of its kind for the event.

Organized by the Jiangsu provincial department of culture and the Wuxi municipal government, the China (Wuxi) International Culture and Art Industry Fair, held since 2011, is the only cultural themed fair in Jiangsu province.
