High-speed rail reaches Togtoh county

Tourists will soon be able to reach Togtoh county in Hohhot, Inner Mongolia autonomous region, directly by high-speed train and see some of its famous attractions, such as the Shenquan Eco-tourism Scenic Spot.
According to the local authority, Togtoh high-speed railway station will open to passengers on Sept 20.
The county, in the suburbs of Hohhot, previously had no connection to the national railway network, so visitors could only travel there by bus.
The opening of the new rail station is expected to attract more visitors from major cities in Inner Mongolia, including Hohhot, Ordos and Baotou. And journey times will be cut dramatically for people traveling to the county.
