Xuwen Offshore Wind Power Plant gains key status

The Xuwen Offshore Wind Power Plant was recently selected as a 2018 Guangdong Key Project by the Guangdong Provincial Development and Reform Commission.

The project, situated in the eastern sea area near Wailuo town, Xuwen county, has a capacity (intended full-load sustained output) of 600,000 kilowatts.

Wind power, an alternative to fossil fuels, is plentiful, renewable, and clean. Xuwen, sitting at the southernmost tip of the Chinese mainland, is rich in wind resources.
