A delegation of 42 teachers and students from Jen-Teh Junior College of Medicine, Nursing and Management in Taiwan visited Pingtan on Aug 31.

The delegation visited different departments at a local traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) hospital, such as acupotomology for exchanges in TCM skills.

A seminar was also held for the delegation to have further communication with the director of the hospital.

"What attracts me most was the communication in TCM skills. I've known a lot of new skills that I have no access to in Taiwan such as acupotomology," said Wu Pei-sin, a first year student who was making her first visit to Pingtan.

Wu added that she hopes to have more opportunities to visit Pingtan for in-depth academic exchanges.

"Through this visit, students have learned a lot with TCM masters in Pingtan. They can bring what they have learned back to Taiwan," said Huang Guo-jhen, director of the college.
