The government of Gaoyou, a satellite city of Yangzhou, signed a strategic agreement with Nanjing University of the Arts (NUA) on Aug 30 to boost cooperation and build a kindergarten affiliated to NUA.
As the only comprehensive arts institute in Jiangsu province and the first art academy established in China, NUA has a strong academic background and unique advantages in the field of arts.
Gou Fengcheng, secretary of the Gaoyou municipal Party committee, said the city hopes to lure more talents and establish effective long-term cooperation with NUA. It's expected that the cooperation can boost the development of cultural industries and enhance the influence of Gaoyou.
Before the signing ceremony, the delegation led by Liu Weidong, president of NUA, paid on-site inspections to local landmarks such as the cultural and sports park and the New City in east Gaoyou.
Liu highly praised the city's rich culture and beautiful natural scenery. Liu said the cooperation with Gaoyou is a win-win for both sides and that NUA will offer their full support and contribute to Gaoyou's cultural construction.
