Shenzhen-Zhanjiang high-speed trains to adopt new operation plan

The Shenzhen-Zhanjiang D-series high-speed trains will soon be able to carry more passengers at a higher speed, when the new train diagram takes effect on Sept 1. 

The revised operation plan will add a few trains with eight additional wagons, which will provide 613 more seats.

Meanwhile, travel time between Guangzhou South Railway Station and Zhanjiang West Railway Station will be two to 10 minutes shorter, while the return trip will be cut by three to 15 minutes.

The last train leaving Guangzhou South Railway Station will be postponed from 8 pm to 8:30 pm, while the last train leaving Zhanjiang West Railway Station will be pushed back from 8 pm to 9 pm.
