The 24 Hours Rollers Le Mans, one of the world's most prestigious roller skating races, chose Ordos City in Inner Mongolia autonomous region as its first station in China this year, and the race has just concluded after two-day racing from Aug 18.

The renowned race requires participants to roller skate for 24 hours in the form of a relay race. Starting at 4 pm on Aug 18, the race went on until 4 pm the following day.

It tests not only a competitor’s speed but also their endurance, with 24 hours of sustained performance required. By the end of 2017, more than 100,000 roller-skating enthusiasts from 35 countries had registered to take part in 24 Hours Rollers Le Mans competitions.

This year, to increase the fun and attract more racers to join the event, three other competitions for children and amateurs were also added.

The event attracted participants from 22 provinces across China, including Taiwan and Hong Kong, with the highest number of participants coming from Hebei province and Beijing.
