Shenyang makes life easier for metro users

A total of 72 self-service machines located along Shenyang Subway lines 1 and 2 allow passengers to top up their metro cards using WeChat and Alipay, as of Aug 15.

The machines are located at eight stations, including Shenyang Aerospace University Station, Shenyang Bei Railway Station, Olympic Sports Center Station, San Tai Zi Station, Shenyang Railway Station, Tie Xi Square Station, East Zhongjie Street Station, and Yu Hong Square Station.

The machines also allow passengers to purchase new cards, look up their purchase records, and check their balance. 

An additional 28 machines are expected to be installed at other stations by the end of August, according to officials.
