Sanmenxia deepens reforms of manufacturing industry

Since last year Sanmenxia has taken various measures to deepen the "three major reforms" for its manufacturing industry to make the industry more intelligent, high-tech and greener.

The city has assigned the annual tasks to counties and districts, bringing the projects construction and technology reformation under yearly appraisal. Meanwhile, its top two leading counties and districts have been awarded with two million yuan ($290,989) and one million yuan in recognition of their industrial transformation and upgrading, motivating enterprises to implement further changes.

From January to July, the city set up 158 project libraries with a total investment value of 49.07 billion yuan. As of now, investments of 13.23 billion yuan have been made, achieving 58 percent of the annual planned goal.

To perform technological transformations effectively, the city strengthened close cooperation with universities and scientific research institutions through extensive field research and promotional conferences. It also set up industry funds to boost technology innovation and transformation.
