Two oil giants of China and Saudi Arabia recently signed an agreement in Dhahran that could reach up to 3.79 billion yuan ($554 million) for pipeline renovation and extension in the Saudi Arabian Haradh and Hawiyah areas. The project will support sustainable development of energy resources in the country.

It’s the sixth time that the China Petroleum Pipeline Bureau (CPP), a subsidiary of China’s largest oil company, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), has cooperated with Saudi Arabian Oil Company (Saudi Aramco) in Saudi Arabia.

Pipeline renovation will help lengthen the service life of the over 1,000 single wells in Haradh and Hawiyah, guaranteeing stable production of the Haradh Oil Field.

Last year, 13 global renowned contractors, including CPP, bid for the work. CPP and its many local branches prepared well, displaying their professional project management, rich experience in similar programs and high-level service.

The construction period is 38 months. CPP said the project will further expand its influence in overseas markets.
