A 3D big data visualization platform is expected to be built to provide digital public services in Huaxi University Town, Guian New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province, by the end of August.

The new platform will provide digital public services in various areas, including emergency response, population management and transportation, and is a part of the town's effort to build a smart city.

The platform can offer a digital analysis on emergency locations and nearby accessible materials and goods, providing more information about the situation to rescue personnel and allowing them to respond quicker and more effectively.

The platform will make demographic surveys easier than before, as residency information can also be obtained through the platform.

The town plans to make a 3D map of the whole area and upgrade it regularly through the use of UAV and remote sensing images. Buildings, roads, mountains, forests and rivers in the 3D map will be classified and transformed into 2D data.

Population, building and infrastructure information collected through the platform will be made accessible to various government departments, and the town will continually acquire new data to upgrade its data base.
