The Tingquanli Hotel in Guian New Area, Southwest China's Guizhou province, has become increasingly popular among visitors to the area, due to its modern check-in and check-out system that makes use of big data.

"The hotel is very convenient as you can do most things yourself, including selecting your room, check-in and check-out. All can be done through an App," said Yu Xiaohui, who took a business trip to Guian recently.

Cooperating with Xbed, a Guangzhou-based online hotel service platform, and Guian Agriculture Comprehensive Development and Investment Co., the hotel provides 13 standard and single guest rooms decorated with cultural elements of Pingzhai village, Guian.

"In addition to intelligent accommodation, we provide smart room cleaning services. Customers can choose the time and person of their choice for room service and the App provides a map and maintenance for cleaners," said Hao Yahong, the hotel's spokesperson.

The number of farmhouses and homestays in Pingzhai is currently estimated at around 81. With the Tingquanli being operated via the internet, 25 homestays are run on an express hotel model in order to meet the various demands of visitors.
