China Intl Beer Festival hailed a success in Dalian

The 19th China International Beer Festival was a huge success. It was held at the Xinhai Square in Dalian, Liaoning province, from July 26 to Aug 6.

The 12-day festival drew over 300,000 tourists from home and abroad. Related news and information attracted almost five million online viewers.

A total of 700 tons of 400 brands of beer were sold, of which some 300 tons were consumed at the venue, directly generating revenues of more than 100 million yuan ($14.65 million).

The China International Beer Festival has been held annually in Dalian since 2002. This year’s venue was the previous festivals’, and covered an area of 500,000 square meters. It  accommodated over 40 large tents of 100 participating firms. 

More than 400 cultural skills were displayed during the festival, including singing, dancing, acrobatics and band performances. Five hundred kinds of food were on offer.

The festival featured eight themed activities in various forms, such as business seminars and exhibitions. For example, the 2018 Dalian International Consumer Brand Expo drew 30,000 visitors.

At the end of the festival, the organizing committee announced that Dalian would also host the 20th China International Beer Festival in July, 2019.
