Changdao Island becomes home to yellow-billed egrets

Changdao Island in East China's Shandong province has become the home to more than 200 yellow-billed egrets, according to official statistics.

The yellow-billed egret is a national second-class protected bird and is a globally endangered species, with less than 8,000 remaining in the world.

Changdao Island lies between the Bohai Sea and the Yellow Sea in East China's Shandong province and boasts a pleasant environment and livable climate, making it a suitable destination for their inhabitation.
