Nandan ushers best season of colorful paddy field

Paddy field art in Baping village of Mangchang town in Nandan county is making the area a popular agricultural tourism destination just as it enters the best sight viewing period in a year.

The pattern, using characters to depict the "rural revitalization strategy", a national strategy aiming to promote rural development, was created at the demonstration area of leisure agriculture in Baping. Being abundant in rice production, Nandan county has brought out various themes of paddy field art since 2013, promoting the planting of rice and cultivation of fish and ducks together, all of which increase farmers' incomes and add to poverty alleviation.
