Dalian hosts intl dance competition

An international dance competition concluded at the Golden Pebble Beach Tourist Attraction in Dalian, Liaoning province, on July 29.

The two-day competition is a highlight of the ongoing Dalian Beach Culture Festival, which runs from June 30 to Aug 25.

Over 3,000 dancers, ranging from five to 80 years old, competed in dance contests involving different styles, including Latin dancing.

Li Zhao and Wang Cuiyu from Dalian International Dance School won first prize while dancers from South Korea and Russia took the fifth and sixth places in the Latin event. A Russian dancer topped the professional standard dancing event.

The competition was hosted by Dalian Sports Federation, Dalian Dance Sport Association and Guoyu Culture Media.
