Yangzhou colleges add unique designs to admission letters

Still think the admission package to university only contains an admission notice and a bank card?

In order to leave indelible memories to the newly admitted freshmen, many colleges in Yangzhou University have added unique designs in their admission letters this year.

College of Social Science

The college designed three sets of folders in the main colors of red, yellow and green for this year's freshmen.

"The design of the folders was inspired by the style of souvenirs of the Palace Museum of Taipei," said Du Yuan, instructor of the College of Social Science.

College of Animal Science and Technology

Freshmen of the College of Animal Science and Technology will get greeting postcards in their admission letters.

The front of the postcard shows the picturesque scenery on campus and the reverse side is the student's name and a short greeting sentence written by the faculty of the college.

College of Mechanical Engineering

Freshmen of the College of Mechanical Engineering will no doubt be delighted to find colorful creative gear models with their own names printed out by 3D printers in the admission letters. Each gear is no more than 10 grams and can mesh with each other.

College of Physical Science and Technology

The College of Physical Science and Technology sent an unconventional circuit diagram to each of its freshmen this year.

The layout of the circuit diagram is mainly based on the map of the Slender West Lake campus of Yangzhou University but some key information is hidden behind a formula that requires students to solve with their circuit and mathematic knowledge.

Through designing the circuit diagram, the college wants to convey the message to the freshmen that they still have to work hard even after being admitted into the university.
