In recent years, Hohhot, capital of Inner Mongolia autonomous region has been working to build itself a comprehensive logistics center in northeast China.

Thanks to the Hohhot government's efforts in developing better infrastructure construction and resources integration, a standard logistics network has been deployed.

Based on the convenient transportation involving Baita International Airport and Shaliang Land Port, the logistics network is linked by logistics parks like the Express E-commerce Industrial Park and Shaliang Logistics Park and numerous delivery branches.

At present, 643 logistics companies have been established in Hohhot, as well as over 70 delivery centers, capable of storing 1.11 million tons of packages.

At the autonomous-region level, the network provides services for Hohhot, Baotou and Ordos; nationwide, it connects Inner Mongolia autonomous region to the region of Beijing – Tianjin – Hebei. It aims forfurther cooperation with Mongolia and Russia.

In addition, the Hohhot government has been investing 6 million yuan ($884,734) to launch a digital logistics platform, in order to address difficulties in creating convenient parking options for trucks while enhancing ease of loading and unloading during deliveries.

The government will continue to do more work, including investing more to improve its logistics parks' functions and providing preferential policies for the city's logistic firms, so as to reach the goal of developing an advanced logistics system by 2020.
