New transportation junction to be built in Yangzhou

The construction of a new comprehensive transportation junction at east Yangzhou, Jiangsu province, will begin by the end of this year and is expected to be put into use in June 2020. 

The construction covers an overall length of 1.2 kilometers from the north side of Wenchang West Road to the south side of Zhanbei Road. 

The junction is a key auxiliary project of a new high-speed train station for rail lines linking Lianyungang, Huaian, Yangzhou and Zhenjiang. 

The construction includes a square in front of the high-speed train station, covering 37,000 square meters, and a five-floor traffic center, covering 42,528 sq m with overall floorage of 60,363 sq m. 

The above-ground three floors of the traffic center are for passenger transport and an office area, while two floors underground will house parking lots.
