Hong Kong delegation helps special-education students in Xichuan

A delegation from the Educational Foundation of the Hong Kong Correctional Services Department (CSD) visited Xichuan Special Education School on July 19.

The delegation consisted of 64 teachers and students from Hong Kong. They visited the new building donated by the foundation in 2017, and donated school supplies to the school's teachers and students.

Cultural performances, paper-cutting and calligraphy activities, and interactive games were also featured during the event. Students from Hong Kong and Xichuan deepened their friendship and understanding of each other during the exchange.

The aforementioned educational foundation is a charitable organization established by the Hong Kong CSD in August 2003. It is committed to promoting and supporting the development of basic education in poor areas, donating money to rebuild collapsed schools and help poor students receive basic education, and improving the quality of teachers in remote areas of the mainland.
