Concert staged as Harbin festival gets underway

A concert took place in Harbin Municipal Square on the night of July 11. The evening of live music was part of the 24th “Summer of Harbin” Music festival currently taking place in the city, and an effort to promote Harbin as a music destination. 

At the opening ceremony of the concert held on July 11, classic performances including Baikal Lake, Summer and Running were staged, to a rapturous reception from the audience.

The festival has plenty more excitement in store over the coming days, with music and dancing performances taking place, including an appearance by a teacher’s choir from Longgang district in Shenyang on July 12 and 13. 

This year’s event is being sponsored by Songbei district government, and the culture and tourism bureau of Songbei.
