An exhibition on ancient Chinese sports culture will open on July 21 at Yangzhou Museum, to mark the 19th Sports Games of Jiangsu this September.
The exhibition will display over 150 typical cultural relics from more than 10 museums around China, such as Yangzhou Museum, Nanjing Museum and Sichuan Museum, with some of the displays being exhibited for the first time.
Featuring various traditional Chinese sports games, including martial arts and cuju, the ancient form of soccer, the exhibition will not only reveal the long-standing history and culture of ancient Chinese sports to the public, but also add a cultural element to this year's Sports Games of Jiangsu.
The exhibition will last for three months, from July to September.
