Faku to hold seventh AOPA fly-in

Faku county in Shenyang, Liaoning province will host its seventh AOPA (Aircraft Owner and Pilot Association) International Fly-in from Aug 18- 20 at the county’s Caihu Airport, according to a press conference held by the information office of Shenyang government on July 11.

It is hoped that the fly-in will help to further promote the development of Shenyang's burgeoning aviation industry, as well as bring tourists into the area.

With a theme of “innovation, sharing, win-win cooperation”, many internationally-famous aerobatics teams will be invited to the event to perform formation flying and other aerobatics. 

More than 100 aviation companies from both China and abroad have confirmed their participation in the exhibition section. Different types of drones, helicopters, aircraft engines, new materials, guided systems and aircraft parts will be on display.

Other activities including the China General Aviation Town Development Forum, a military and civilian integration forum, a forum for application and development forum of unmanned systems, as well as match-making meetings for aviation equipment suppliers and purchasers will also be held during the event.

Additionally, to attract tourists, a flight service taking visitors on a panoramic tour of Caihu will be launched. Meanwhile, visitors will also be able to enjoy blooming  lotus flowers, sunflowers and cole flowers in an ecological agriculture industrial park near Caihu Airport.

The event is being hosted by the governments of Shenyang city and Faku county.
