Sales revenues from ceramic products during the 15th Shenyang Faku International Ceramics Trade Fair exceeded 1 billion yuan ($151.4 million), hitting a new record, Xinhua reported.

The ceramics trade fair was held in Faku county, Shenyang from July 7 to 9.

This year’s fair was themed on “high-end oriented development, branding, environmental protection and intelligentization”, with the aim of displaying the achievements Faku has made on technological innovation, environmental protection, brand promotion, and the transformation and upgrading of its industrial structure.

It attracted around 100 ceramic machinery manufacturers, raw materials suppliers, energy-saving technology service providers, export traders, ceramic building and art materials producers from Guangdong, Shandong, Jiangxi, Hebei and Liaoning provinces, to negotiate deals and seek cooperation opportunities.

In addition to breakthroughs in sales revenues, Liaoning Faku Economic Development Zone signed four investment cooperation agreements to establish one household porcelain and art porcelain industrial park, one glass deep-processing industrial park, one sanitary ware industrial park and one heat insulation materials park, during the 2018 Faku Ceramics Industry Development Forum held on July 7.

The four agreements involved total investment of 6.85 billion yuan. When all the projects are up and running it is anticipated that they will achieve annual revenues of 50 billion yuan.

At present, the Faku ceramics trade fair has been successfully held 14 times, with participation by 1,200 domestic and overseas exhibitors and 15,000 merchants; achieving sales revenues of 20 billion yuan.

The fair is sponsored by China Ceramics Industrial Association, China Building Ceramics and Sanitary Ware Association, and the government of Faku county.

Faku, which is known as “China's Ceramic Valley”, started its ceramics industry back in 2002. Over more than 10 years, the ceramics industry has gradually become the leading industry in the development of Faku's economy, and the county has already established its own industrial park, which 248 businesses now call home.

The park mainly undertakes the research, production, and sale of different types of ceramics.

At present, Faku industrial park is home to around 1,000 ceramic brands and 12 categories of ceramic products, and a complete industrial chain has taken shape.

Faku’s ceramics have been exported to over 20 countries and regions. The Faku government is planning to further promote ceramics in the African and North American markets; and to dominate the markets of Russia, Mongolia and South Korea.
