Bonfire festival lights up Ordos

The fifth Ordos Nomadic Bonfire Festival was launched June 30, at an opening ceremony held by the tourism authority in Dongsheng district in partnership with the Jiuchenggong Tourism Company.

The festival will last until August 30, during which time a series of events will be organized, including a bonfire ceremony, a wucha feast (whole-lamb feast), a food festival, a “prairie music festival”, and a boke competition ("boke" means wrestling in Mongolian).
