A promotional conference for the 2018 China Innovation & Entrepreneurship Expo was held in Hohhot, capital of Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on June 29.

Zhang Bin, director of Ulaanqab economic cooperation office and Wang Yutian, general manager of Inner Mongolia branch of Xinhua Agency were both present and delivered speeches at the conference.

According to Zhang, highlights for the expo include its size and various activities being held at the venue and online.

Around 1,000 exhibitors will bring their products to the expo, with around 60,000 people expected to attend the event.

The venue will be divided into 10 themed exhibition areas, including an area for tech firms. Seven forums, including a forum for academics, are due to be held during the expo.

The expo's official website (http://www.zgcbh.cn/) is expected to play an important role in promoting the products of exhibitors, and the site will remain active after the event finishes.

Zhang promised that the Ulaanqab government would provide the most preferential policies and best services to investors, entrepreneurs and startups in the city.

Award ceremonies for innovation and entrepreneurship programs and outstanding entrepreneurs, as well as a block-chain technology match will also be held during the expo, added Wang.

Hosted by Xinhua Agency and organized by the Ulaanqab government and Inner Mongolia branch of Xinhua Agency, the expo will be open in Ulaanqab between July 17 and 21, and will focus on big data, logistics, tourism and opening-up.
