A high-speed railway linking Zhengzhou, capital of Henan province, with Zhanjiang, Guangdong province, will begin operating on July 6. The journey takes only 10 hours 13 minutes, 12 hours shorter than before.

The newly introduced D921, which used to commute between Beijing West Railway Station and Guangzhou South Railway Station, will extend its terminus to Zhanjiang West Railway Station.

Four days a week, the train will depart from Zhengzhou East Railway Station at 11:47 pm and arrive in Zhanjiang at 10:00 am the next morning.

The train also provides another option for Zhengzhou tourists heading to Hainan province, as a road-rail-sea combined transportation service was recently launched across the Qiongzhou Straits.

Passengers can get to Haikou, capital of Hainan province, via bus and ferry transfers after arriving in Zhanjiang by train. The trip is 15 hours shorter than the direct train from Zhengzhou to Haikou. Tickets for the road-rail-sea transportation service can be bought via the WeChat account (ID: tqfuwu).
