Henan counties cooperate to shake off poverty

Xinzheng, a county-level city, stepped up efforts to help Nanzhao county, Nanyang shake off poverty by 2019, with the first series of cooperative projects being signed between enterprises from the two areas on July 1.

This came in response to the Implementation Opinion of Conduct One-to-One Anti-Poverty Cooperation across Henan Province, released by the provincial government on May 3, which paired up Xinzheng and Nanzhao to fight poverty.

The Xinzheng-based Haoxiangni Jujube, China South City, Chengmei Tourism, North China Nursery Stock, and Qianhu Village Tourist Service signed deals with Nanzhao Huayanglongsheng Sci-Tech Industrial Park, Huirong E-Commerce Industrial Park, Baotianman Tourism Development, Xinwang Yulan Ecological Park, and Shuxin Ecological Agriculture Development, respectively.

The cooperative projects involve things like scenic spot construction, e-commerce platform operation, and deep processing of Chinese herbal medicine.

According to Shi Juling, president of Haoxiangni Jujube, the company will sell high-quality Nanzhao agricultural products across the nation, relying on its reputation and sales channels.

China South City also said that its cooperation with Huirong E-Commerce will ensure that local agricultural products enjoy a high-speed domestic logistics network through e-commerce platforms.

Xinzheng Party Secretary Liu Jianwu expected more cooperation to be achieved between the two areas in industrial development, infrastructure construction, talent and technology.
