According to reports the government plans to launch a series of policies promoting high quality employment, including establishing a higher quality employment assessment system, implementing policies that cultivate new driving forces to promote employment, establishing employment and a startup fund targeting key groups, and improving relevant labor and social security policies that aim to improve the employment model.
This year there will be 8.2 million college graduates nationwide, a record high. On the one hand, the rapid growth of new driving forces and new industries create more job opportunities, but on the other, the quality of employment still needs to improve.
While employment demand is still strong, the shortage of highly skilled talents has become particularly prominent.
The government is thus adjusting its employment policy focus according to economic development and industrial demand, and promoting a supply of high quality labor.
Policies will focus on fair employment opportunities as well as better incomes, social security and working conditions. Considering the rapid development of the new economy, new industry forms will be taken into consideration in terms of an employment quality assessment system.
Meanwhile, supporting policies, such as accelerating the upgrading of the industrial structure and promoting a modern service industry, strategic emerging industries and intelligence-intensive industries, will also be implemented.
