The China-Germany Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park in Shenyang, Northeast China’s Liaoning province has launched preferential policies to support the development of companies and start-ups, in an effort to attract investment and business cooperation.

The policies were launched at a forum on the theme of “intelligent future, innovation development”, which was held in the China-Germany Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park on June 28 and attended by around 100 business representatives and academics.

Business facilitation policies include land rent, free office services, subsidies for start-ups, investment risk control, as well as simplifying the procedures of administrative approval.

Companies basing themselves in the industrial park will also enjoy all the preferential policies that apply to the Shenyang area of Liaoning Free Trade Trial Zone.

The China-Germany Equipment Manufacturing Industrial Park in Shenyang was approved by the State Council on Dec 23, 2015, with an area of 48 square kilometers earmarked for construction at Tiexi district in Shenyang, a district housing companies involved in the equipment manufacturing industry.

To be built into a demonstration area integrating the development strategies of Made in China 2025 and German Industry 4.0, the industrial park prioritizes the development of intelligent manufacturing, high-end equipment, automotive manufacturing, industrial services and strategic emerging industries.

The park aims to uphold the principle of "small government, big society" while implementing market-based and enterprise-style management, and constructing a China-Germany innovation center among other service platforms.

At present, 254 projects, including BMW Brilliance's Tiexi factory, have settled in the park, investing a combined total of 105.81 billion yuan ($15.96 billion). The park has also attracted 35 companies from Germany and other European countries.
