Overseas talents summit to open in Dalian

The 2018 China Overseas Talents Entrepreneurship Summit will take place in Dalian, Liaoning province from June 29 to July 1, according to a news conference held on Tuesday.

The summit consists of industrial forums, road shows, design competitions, job fairs and exhibitions, attracting more than 2,300 experts and business representatives from China and abroad. 

A total of 200 domestic investment institutes, scientific research institutes and large-and medium-sized companies will also take part.

This year’s road shows focus on intelligent technologies, clean energy, life sciences, ocean technologies, as well as the cultural and creative industry, with 200 high-tech projects on exhibition. 

More than 40 entrepreneurship teams from Silicon Valley, Seattle, Boston, Vancouver and London will showcase their innovative works.

The summit was founded in 2000 and has developed into an international platform for industrial upgrading and innovation. More than 8,700 cooperation agreements have been signed and more than 3,800 businesses established in its 18-year history, helping create an accumulated industrial value of over 730 billion yuan ($110.74 billion).
