Global experts exchange insights on Greater Bay Area transport

Nearly 300 elites, experts and scholars from over 100 companies and 30 universities and research institutes across the world all gathered in Guangzhou from June 14 to 16 for the 12th Asia Pacific Transportation Development Conference and the International Chinese Transportation Professionals Association (ICTPA) 31st Annual Conference.

The conference, with a theme of "Innovation & Integration: Promote the Development of New Transportation in the Asia-Pacific Area", hosted one main forum and 16 sessions, including "Urban Transportation Development Strategy in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area", "Transportation Planning Workshop for the Chinese mainland, Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan", and "Research and Exploration of Future Transportation". Through high-level dialogues and other forms of interaction, in-depth discussions will be held on cutting-edge issues in the development of transportation in the Asia-Pacific.

The Asia Pacific Transportation Development Conference is a major platform for discussing transportation in the Asia-Pacific. The event is hosted by ICTPA and has been successfully held for 11 consecutive years. Its mission is to explore the development trends and challenges facing modern transportation and share scientific research achievements related to transportation in the Asia-Pacific region.

This year's event was carried out by the Guangzhou Urban Planning and Design Survey Research Institute, South China University of Technology, and the Guangzhou Transport Planning Research Institute.

The main topics discussed include transportation planning and system development, transportation infrastructure planning and design, transportation system management and maintenance, advanced technology applications, and other topics related to transportation.

The conference also presented the "Lifetime Award for International Chinese Transportation Professions", which recognizes Chinese transportation experts and scholars who have made outstanding achievements in discipline development and talent training. The award were presented by ICTPA.
