Sanmenxia further cuts intermediary services during administrative procedures

Sanmenxia of Henan province is to further streamline 16 approval items by adjusting intermediary services in order to reduce barriers for enterprises and start-ups and create a better business environment.

Applicants seeking approvals from the government have to go through intermediaries in some cases to seek evaluation, authentication or review materials, which have largely prolonged the time.

Eight departments including human resources and social security, transportation and environment protection were involved, according to the Sanmenxia Commission Office for Public Sector Reform.

Applicants will no longer need to provide evaluation and other papers in nine cases.

The government, instead of the applicants will apply for intermediary services in two administrative procedures.

Regulations on the intermediary services will efficiently reduce business costs and prevent corruption to some extent.
