A total of 47,600 students will sit for the examinations this year, 4,024 more than last year.

According to the city's traffic police department, an emergency police hotline at 8333-3333 has been set up for emergencies that arise during the examination period on Thursday and Friday. Moreover, special service points at all exam sites across the city will be set by the police department, with raincoats, summer-heat relief medicine, and water being provided for students. The department also unveiled green transportation channels for exam takers and contingency plans for accidents involving test takers.

Shenzhen Metro is also working hard to provide more conveniences for students. On June 7 and 8, measures will be taken to reduce security check time and detailed transportation tips will be offered to guide them from metro stations to exam sites more efficiently. Moreover, supplies such as pens, 2B pencils, rulers, and erasers will be available at stations next to exam sites for those who forget to bring them.
